ENVIROMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND GOVERNANCE

Our vision is to establish and demonstrate that construction of small and medium-size HPPs is feasible in Georgia through planning and implementing mitigation measures to minimize the environmental impact. We strive to set a project precedent that will be acceptable to each stakeholder group. Our model of communication with stakeholder groups is based on a transparent and continuous dialogue, which intends to engage the local population, NGOs, media, round table discussions, and workshops.

It is our goal to make the project cceptable to each group and let the stakeholders of the region see the benefits of hydro generation plants. Our activities are conducted in accordance with the Georgian legislation and regulations and in compliance with the Environmental and Social Management Standards of international financial institutions such as IFC and EIB. One of the key goals for the CCEH is to ensure the provision of capital for the projects and to create access to modern experiences related to the construction of hydropower plants. We elaborate the common vision and strategy to achieve both financial gains and non-material benefits which is the basis of CCEH investment philosophy.
